I bought this laptop on 10/11/2011 for $299 $317.99 with taxes. I loved it the first week. The second week I had to restart the computer 3-4 times by rebooting. Now it seems the battery it not working properly either. I unplug to use just the battery & I get a black screen (even when it is plugged as well). I have to restart several times before it starts working. I will take back to Staples to have them take a look. Follow the update!!!
Oh yeah, the computer is a lot slower then I am used to, but thought it would be good at this price. Unlucky me.
Well, took the laptop to Staples service center and the hard drive is bad...1/26/2012

To start with, this computer looks slick. I have gotten lots of compliments on the sharp-looking keyboard
Also, this computer is fast enough to run all of the applications that an office user would want. The 4GB of ram is more than I need for web browsing, photoshop, or coding. Moreover, the side number pad has been helpful for data entry in excel.
As a cautionary word, this computer doesn't have good capacity for gaming on the level of DoTA or high-action 3D games because of its lack-luster integrated graphics card. At the same time, the monitor is quite vivid. Still, I can enjoy playing any 2D games on this computer.
Lastly, the speakers on this are really weak and drop off early in the bass, as expected from a pair of cheap tweeters. If you like music, do yourself a favor and get a nice pair of headphones or a set of speakers. That is all.
At this price-point (I paid $300 at Staples) it is a great deal.

This is my first laptop & I'm a novice to technology. I'm into photograpy & crafting. Having found tutorials on youtube,I'm there alot. It takes awhile to get through them but once downloaded the graphics & resolution are great. Still learning the ins & outs but am very satisfied with speed of engine & smooth running abilities of this new toy.
